Crusher Components
Amsco research was the first to provide molybdenum-alloyed
manganese steels which could be used in heavy castings.
Some examples of Amsco's research and development in the crusher industry are:
- Cone crushers demand less ductility for impact resistance but more abrasion resistance. Another family of molybdenum manganese steels with high carbon contents were developed, which in combination with proprietary heat treating practices, provide the required properties for the cone crushers.
- Austenitic manganese steel crusher hammers were designed and perfected by Amsco, because of the unacceptable failure rates of high hardness, high strength, low alloy steel hammers. Amsco continuously works on testing alloys in order to significantly improve work-hardening properties.
Amsco Mantles, Bowls,
Liners, Jaws, Concaves
and Concave Rings, Roll
Shells, Grizzly Bars, Hammers, Grate and Impeller Bars, and Breaker Bars are products that represent nearly a century of design improvements and alloy developments.
